Our Leadership
A Family Business, Built to Last
Founded by Joe McEvoy over 40 years ago in Behan’s Yard on Upper Sheriff Street, Dublin, U Value Insulation is today led by joint owners Niall and Stuart McEvoy.
Niall McEvoy
Joint Owner and Managing Director
Niall McEvoy, Joint Owner and Managing Director of U Value Insulation, learned the business from the ground up under his father Joe, who founded the company over 40 years ago. From its beginnings in an office and insulation warehouse in Behan’s Yard on Upper Sheriff Street, Dublin, U Value has grown into an international distributor while retaining its family-business values.
Having worked across virtually every function of the company before becoming Managing Director in 2002, Niall brought practical experience and commercial ambition to the role. The company’s journey through East Wall, Ballycoolin and Western Industrial Estate reflects its expanding operations in Ireland, alongside the development of a UK network spanning Manchester, Birmingham and London.
Under Niall’s leadership, growth has been guided by a clear approach: build lasting partnerships with customers and suppliers, invest in people and deliver dependable service. The new Group Headquarters and Distribution Centre in Dunshaughlin marks another significant chapter, providing the space and infrastructure to support U Value’s next stage of development.
Today, Niall leads an experienced leadership team while maintaining the principles established by Joe: integrity, respect for customers, suppliers and colleagues, and a working culture that combines commitment with a sense of enjoyment. His focus remains on growing the business responsibly, strengthening its capabilities and building on the family heritage that continues to shape U Value.
Stuart McEvoy
Joint Owner and Financial Director
Stuart McEvoy, Joint Owner and Financial Director of U Value Insulation, joined the family business 25 years ago and developed his understanding of the company from the ground up. Having worked across multiple areas of the organisation, he combines strong financial knowledge with practical operational experience and a deep understanding of the construction supply industry.
Founded by his father Joe, U Value began with an office and insulation warehouse in Behan’s Yard on Upper Sheriff Street, Dublin. Over the following decades, the business progressed through premises in East Wall, Ballycoolin and Western Industrial Estate, expanding its reach across Ireland and into the UK. Stuart has helped support that growth while preserving the personal relationships and practical approach on which the business was built.
Working alongside Niall and the wider leadership team, Stuart shapes U Value’s financial strategy, guides investment and strengthens operational efficiency. As the company enters its next chapter with the new Dunshaughlin headquarters and distribution centre, his focus is on ensuring it has the financial foundations to support continued growth across Ireland and the UK.
His experience across construction supply, refurbishment, roofing products and sustainable building solutions gives him a broad commercial perspective. Stuart understands how financial and operational decisions translate into dependable service and lasting value for customers and suppliers. He remains committed to Joe’s founding principles of integrity, respect and trusted relationships, helping build a strong business for the future while keeping its family values at its heart.
